if not working with main content

This is a great plugin, especially with acf. However I don’t get the if shortcode to work with the main content field.

It works fine with acf custom fields, e.g. (only show location when it is not empty:
[if field=location]Location: [field=location][/if]

I want to do the same with the main content, only show it when the field is not empty. But it doesn’t work in either of following ways:
[if field=content]Playlist: [content][/if]

[if content]Playlist: [content][/if]

With the following it works, but I can’t use it that way as I want additional text around it.

[if exists][content][/if]

Any help very much appreciated.
