hi,
I want to report a problem that you can investigate.
Using the Cookie Based Brute Force Prevention and Buddypress, the users of my membership website are experiencing a Logout Problem.
The users make the login by a login form that is not the standard WordPress form. Then it doesn’t use the wp-login.php for the login.
It is a login form that comes from the Membership Plugin used that is “Simple Membership Plugin”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-membership/
Until here, things works properly.
Instead, for the logout, BuddyPress uses always the WordPress Logout than it uses to make the logout calling the wp-login.php page. So this doesn’t work.
As a result, only the admin account can be logged out, because it has the cookie in his profile. Instead, the others get a 404 page and are not logged out using the standard WordPress logout link.
All the users are logged out normally using the logout link that the membership plugin provides.
Is there a way to manage this?
Kind regards
G. Aloe
