The Instagram Feed plugin works fine on WP versions 4.6 and now 4.7.
It is customisable regarding the number of photos horizontally and vertically, so you can fit it into a tight space.
Wish list: it would be nice if the plug in could provide a widget, in addition to the shortcode that it provides. This would make it easier to place in the footer, for example.
